This letter was dated 15th May 2011, was posted second class on the 20th May 2011, and the letter was received on the 23rd May 2011.

Dear Sir/Ms
You are hereby formally requested to cease and desist the cctv coverage of my personal private property/space from the property known as 26 Perkhill Road. None of the lower ground area nor the back shed is owned, in whole or in part, as part of the property known as 26 Perkhill Road. It is a violation of my personal human rights to have my privacy contravened in this way and an act for which I can involve the police. The crime number will then be used in the future court action.

If this request is not carried out within 1 week I will commence court action against you.

Sincerly Yours

Ian A. Nicol

The following letter was from a solicitor at Aberdein Considine dated 23rd May 2011, and was received on the 24th May 2011:

CCTV at 26 Perkhill Road

We act on behalf of Mr Nicol who has been in contact with us regarding your installation of a CCTV system direct at his property.

Mr Nicol is extremely concerned that the cameras have been installed in an offensive manner in order for you to view his property. As such this is an intrusion on his property which is restricting his use and enjoyment of his property and is a breach of Mr Nicol’s privacy.

We therefore require you to take down the CCTV system  within the next 7 days, which failing we are instructed to take court action.

In the meantime, this letter is written purely entirely without prejudice to our client’s whole rights and pleas in law and may only be founded upon at their express or implied consent in any future or contiguous litigation.

Yours sincerely
